About Us
A considered approach to interior design. Balancing structure, creativity, and the way you live.
Where design meets intention.
Silver Rabbit Interior Design is led by Cathri, a qualified engineer and interior designer. The studio is based in Gauteng, working across Pretoria, Johannesburg, and throughout South Africa. With a background in chemical engineering, Cathri brings a structured, analytical approach to design, combining technical understanding with a refined creative eye.
Her experience in corporate and manufacturing environments has shaped a strong foundation in project management, communication, and problem-solving - all essential to delivering considered, well-executed spaces.
Studying interior design strengthened the creative and intuitive side of her approach, deepening her understanding of colour, texture, light and proportion. By considering both how a space functions and how it feels, Cathri translates each client’s vision into interiors with warmth, character and harmony—spaces that reflect their individuality and support the way they live and work.
This balance between science and art informs every project - resulting in interiors that are not only beautiful, but practical, functional and cohesive.
Our approach
Each project is approached with clarity and intention. We work closely with our clients to understand how their space is used, then translate that into a design that feels both elevated and effortless to live in.
From traditional to contemporary styles, every solution is tailored - because no two spaces, or clients, are the same. The focus, however, remains: to create spaces that feel harmonious, considered, and a pleasure to spend time in.

The story behind the name
Silver Rabbit was inspired by a quiet, personal moment. In the early days, many client visits happened in the early evening. On my way home from these meetings rabbits would emerge and move through the veld, their forms softened by the pale evening light - appearing almost silver.
The name became a reflection of that calm, thoughtful transition between day and night. It represents a design approach that is subtle, considered, and quietly impactful.
